This project studies the internationalization of science, technology and innovation from the perspective of strategy, policy and management by employing an interdisciplinary approach theoretically and empirically. Three subgroups will be included in the project. Subgroup I generally studies the strategy and policy issues of STI internationalization at macro level which is the center of whole research project, while Subgroup II focuses on the key management issues of firm internationalization evolution at micro level. Based on Subgroup I and II, Subgroup III takes the green industry as a very specific case in which the interdependencies between internationalization on the firm and the policy level can be further studied. All subgroups will be connected and interactive, and China and Germany will be included as a representative of developed economy and emerging economy respectively. The project will help to gain a deeper understanding of the strategy, policy and management practices of STI internationalization between China and Germany at multiple levels, and therefore suggests a series of policies to improve the operation of STI internationalization.
