In the past decades, numerous students of Leibniz University have graduated with a focus on economic geography. Contact with our former students is very important to us in order to align our teaching program with the needs of the job market. For this reason, alumni meetings are held every two years and every four years all alumni of economic geography in Hanover are surveyed about their professional careers.
In 2016, the alumni association WiGeoH, the Association for the Promotion of Economic Geography in Hanover, was founded. The currently approx. 130 members of the association already form a close-knit network, through which lucrative job offers are increasingly being conveyed to the younger generations. The alumni association also organises the aforementioned alumni survey.
