The dynamic growth of the Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei Technologies caused quite a stir recently. The newly published book "Huawei Goes Global" analyzes the company''s internationalization from an interdisziplinary perspective. As an expert on Huawei, Dr. Kerstin J. Schaefer contributed a chapter on "Huawei''s Global Quest to Catch-up: An Atypical Approach in R&D Internationalization" to the volume.
She analyzes the unusual greenfield internationalzation Huawei chose for expanding its research and development activities and points out the role of Chinese speaking offshore experts for integrating the offshore locations. The volume is edited by Wenxian Zhang, Ilan Alon and Christoph Lattemann.
