IWKG welcomes two guest researchers from China

Our Institute is honoured to welcome two guest researchers from China: Prof. Dr. NI Wai from the Shanghai Academy of Social Science and SHI Ke from the Tongji University. These research stays are to support the established cooperation in joint scientific projects in economic geography.

Prof. Dr. NI Wai is currently the Deputy Director of the Hong Kong-Macao Research Centre of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, an Associate Researcher, and a member of the National Research Council of Hong Kong and Macao. In addition to leading several research projects, he has published academic monographs such as "Research on the Development of the Economic Development Model of the Low-Carbon Economy" (2014) and "Hong Kong Economic Transformation Research" (2021). His research interests include regional economics, industrial economics, Hong Kong and Macao economies.

SHI Ke is a PhD student at the School of Economics and Management, Tongji University, China, specialising in innovation management. Her research focuses on urban innovation ecosystems and innovation districts. Her research topic is "Dynamics of Urban Innovation Ecosystems under Spatial Production Theory".
